Chaos and bedlam

Dawn’s editorial of 25 May 2022 “Back to bedlam” must be taken as a warning by all concerned “at a time of severely heightened volatility.”

Politics at the moment has turned into a bitter tussle for power. This ‘intractable mess’ has to addressed immediately. Otherwise “space is rapidly opening for non-democratic forces to intervene,” the paper warns, and “any such development will be a great loss for us all.”

It is now time for the institutional guardrails to save democracy.

It is Now or Never.
