Privilege corrupts

Privilege very easily breeds a sense of entitlement. And to paraphrase Lord Acton, enormous privilege corrupts enormously, in part because the very privileged are normally surrounded by people who would never dare tell them that they’re behaving badly.

The above lines, written by Paul Krugman, in NYT opinion piece “Our world of petulant oligarchs” is a scathing critique of the privileged who become horrible persons.
