Sindh Centre on Countering Extremism

Following the decision of the Sindh Apex Committee on CT NAP on 10 April 2025, the home department has been asked to draft the Sindh Centre of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism Act, 2025, to combat violent extremism and terrorism.

The Centre is required to focus on research, policy development, and strategies to counter violent extremism. It will also provide support to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) on terror financing investigations and work to counter online radicalization, hate speech, disinformation, and youth delinquency.

The Centre for Governance Research (CGR), comprising an independent group of professionals combating organized crime in Pakistan, welcomes this move by the Government of Sindh and volunteers to help establish the new Centre of Excellence on CT and CVE.
