Covid-19 Update 26 April 2020

Global deaths linked to coronavirus passed 200,000 on 25 April while confirmed cases of the virus are expected to hit three million in coming days.

More than half of the fatalities have been reported by USA, Spain and Italy. The US had reported more than 52,400 deaths as of 25 April while Italy, Spain and France had reported between 22,000 and 26,000 fatalities each.

Pakistan had 12,657 confirmed cases with 265 reported deaths on 25 April. An ENT surgeon in Peshawar became a victim of Covid-19 while doctors reiterated demand for strict lockdown.
