MINUTES OF NIOC’S 18TH ADVISORY BOARD MEETING
The 18th NIOC Advisory Board Meeting was held on Friday 02 April 2021 at 3 pm. The following participated: Advisory Board: Tariq Parvez, Zahid Hussain, Samina Ahmed, Zubair Habib and Jawaid Akhtar. Fasi Zaka has not been able to participate in the last four AB meetings.
NIOC Directorate and Consultants: Tariq Khosa, Ejaz Hussain, Ali Nekokara, Kashif Noon, Hassan Sardar, Ammar Jaffri and Saroop Ijaz. Amir Rana, being in Turkey, missed participating.
Director Khosa shared details and plans for 1st NIOC-NESA Center Washington DC Virtual Discussion on 07 April on South Asia Security Challenges, particularly in reference to USA and Pakistan’s perspectives. Tariq Parvez, Zahid Hussain, Samina Ahmed and Amir Rana were proposed to be the panelists from NIOC side. Director Terry Wolff, Dean Roger Kangas, Ali Jalali and Hassan Abbas would represent NESA Center.
Draft Framework for National OC Strategy was discussed and disseminated to all NIOC Members.
March OC Review was to be issued by Amir Rana.
First Monthly CE Watch was to be issued for March 2021 as a follow-up of recent CE Study carried out by NIOC. Deputy Director Ejaz Hussain would be the editor who would be assisted by Manager Ops Hassan Sardar.
AB agreed with NIOC Directorate to draft a proposal for GI Resilience Fund on OC Study for Pakistan from July to December 2021. Kashif Noon and Ali Nekokara would prepare the first draft during April 2021.
